Tweejaarlijks wordt er door de lid-landen van Ladies’ Circle International een internationaal te ondersteunen project gekozen.
Elk Circle land doneert een vaste bijdrage. Ook worden er speciale acties ondernomen om geld bijeen te zamelen of goederen te sturen. http://www.ladies-circle.com/

ECPAT International and the Youth Partnership Project (YPP)
ECPAT Internationals vision is that all children have the right to live free from sexual exploitation; this includes child prostitution, child pornography, child sex tourism and trafficking for sexual purposes. The commercial sexual exploitation of children is estimated to be the third most lucrative business in the world after weapons and drugs (Karlen, 2009).
ECPAT has started an international project called The Youth Partnership Project for Child Survivors and Youth at Risk of Commercial Sexual Exploitation (YPP). The aim of the project is that youth volunteers are taught how to help other exploited and at-risk children to access services and opportunities to recover from their traumatic experiences and to build their self-esteem so that they can return to a more normal life. Through the “Peer Support Programmes” many of the children are taught leadership and communication skills on how to reach out to and befriend other children in trouble and in this way are taught how to help and support other children affected by sexual exploitation. A child who has been raped and sexually exploited for money finds it easier to identify themselves with and trust those who have themselves been in a similar situation.
The money raised by Ladies Circle International will be used to start up new YPP projects in Chile, Cameroon, Mexico and Kyrgyzstan.
A large number of youth –led awareness raising projects will operate within the YPP. These projects will help even more of the exploited children from these countries. This is just a sample of the activities which will be made possible because we have selected the YPP as our international charity project.
Our Goal – 20 EUROS per member!
Together with all the ladies circle clubs over the world, we want to raise more than 200 000 EURO for the international service project.
We are 12 503 members worldwide. If every member raises 20 EURO’s (10 EURO’s per year) then we will reach our goal.
Remember the trade of sexually exploiting children for money is the third most lucrative industry in the world. Don’t let this industry grow!!
International Service project SARIS 2007- 2009
It was after conversations with Ladies' Circle India at the International Contact meeting in Alkmaar 2006. that the then current President, Mandy Vines along with Vice President Michelle Taylor, put forward a proposal of helping LC India in their sanitary quest. Over the seas a hand of friendship was extended and a proposal bid was put forward - who knew where it would end....
Many of GB&I Circlers arrived in Tallin full of fun and friendship. Mandy Vines (IPP) and Michelle Taylor (President) paved the way at the council meeting with much fun and song! Dressed in saris, the bid for the International Service Project was on for the AGM on the Friday. Once again, Michelle Taylor and Sharon Abba, sang their hearts out, accompanied by Chris Wright (Project Chairman) and Trudy Kennedy (National Charities Officer) who also worn beautiful saris on a very hot day.
GB&I had won the bid…………….
Now the work has to start. GB&I will head the new International Project 2007-2009 with the help of the rest of LCI. We look forward to working beside all of our International circlers.
The name - Project SARIS - Sanitation At Rural Indian Schools,
Aim - Build 100 toilet blocks at rural schools in India
Cost - €700 builds 1 toilet block (total required around €70,000)
The reason for this project is due to the schools that have been built across India (many by the Round table India project “Freedom through Education”) they are built without toilet facilities. It is known that 50% of girls that drop out of education do so between the ages of 10 and 12, this is a point when a girl starts to mature, she is unwilling to continue to go to the toilet in the open air and where toilet facilities do not exist the only option is for her to drop out at which point her education stops.
A girl needs to develop, build her confidence and be independent both mentally and financially, Especially in a developing nation.
All these are possible with a proper education.
This is achieved with proper infrastructure in the schools. A toilet block plays a vital role for a girl during her education.
Nepal Highlander Orphan Children Care (2005-2007)
LC Denemarken heeft het charityproject van LCI voor het jaar 2005-2007 ingediend.
Het gaat om 20 kinderen (13 meisjes en 7 jongens) in Nepal die geen voedsel hebben, soms geen huis en die vaak ziek zijn.
Deze kinderen hebben geen ouders of hun ouders leven in extreme armoede.
Door dit project te steunen krijgen de kinderen goed voedsel, een gezamenlijke woning, medische begeleiding en een opleiding. De 20 kinderen worden begeleid door een paar pleegouders.

Wat doet LCNL voor dit project?
Naast de vaste bijdrage per lid, organiseren verschillende Nederlandse Circles activiteiten om fondsen te werven.
Om het internationale project te ondersteunen, worden Charity pins ontwikkeld die ter verkoop worden aangeboden aan de leden van LCI.
Elke pin kost € 5,-. + eventuele verzendkosten.

Ma´Ma Rachel
Ma´Ma Childrens´s Center of Norway is een instituut dat gemanaged wordt door een 77jarige vrouw Rachel Trovi. Het project wordt ook wel aangeduid met Ma´Ma Rachel.
Deze vrouw ging 17 jaar geleden naar Manilla na in Noorwegen een film gezien te hebben over de "Smokey Mountain".
In de tussentijd wonen er geen mensen meer op de "Smokey Mountain". Alle 20.000 tot 30.000 mensen moesten daar weg van de regering. Met als gevolg dat ze nu daaromheen hun sloppenwijken hebben "gebouwd".
In zo´n sloppenwijk staan bijvoorbeeld 7 pré-schools waar kinderen worden opgevangen. De kinderen uit de omringende sloppenwijken komen daar vaak dagelijks naar toe. De moeders helpen ´s middags met het verzorgen van de lunch.
Momenteel is het doel "Help people help themselves".
Ze zag meisjes een kind baren, letterlijk op de vuilnisbelt. Ze heeft als eerste een geboortekliniek opgezet. Later kwamen de weeshuizen, een centrum voor verkrachte vrouwen, school waar vrouwen leren naaien om zo geld te kunnen verdienen en een tehuis voor ouderen die op straat werden gezet.
Ongeveer 800 kinderen kunnen een opleiding volgen, door Ma´Ma Rachel.
35 Getrainde Filipijnen beheren de dagelijkse gang van zaken.
De Noorse IPP is er in maart geweest en was zeer onder de indruk van de armoede en het werk dat daar wordt verricht.
Het geld dat wordt opgehaald wordt door Rachel zelf verdeeld. Het zou niet van respect voor haar werk getuigen als wij menen te weten waar het geld het best aan besteeds kan worden. In de toekomst wil Rachel graag een groot rijstveld aankopen en een eigen school bouwen.
Rachel was aanwezig tijdens het AGM in Roemenië. Het is een heel bijzondere, warme vrouw die ongelooflijk goed werk verricht. Zij vindt het op haar beurt geweldig dat een groep jonge vrouwen haar werk ondersteunt.
